I know. But if he's out there, I promised him I'd make sure he didn't hurt anyone. I can't keep that promise if I just stay inside or around the town trying to help everyone else either.
[...not that everyone else wasn't just as important, but a promise is a promise, and she intends to keep it.]
I get it. I do. No one knows more than me how important a promise is. I just don't want you to think it'll be easy going in. He's harder to talk to now.
[She's had... some uh, in person experience with it, and she's seen how bad it can be through a dream. He explained it to her a little before...]
It's what made him into a daemon. He explained it a little bit, but not more than that. Just that it made the mark on his skin and took away his humanity.
It's something that plagues our entire world, created from negative emotions and unfulfilled feelings. Most people who get affected by it turn into daemons or worse, but Rokurou is a different case in a way. While he is a daemon, his will was strong enough that despite what he might say, he still has some humanity left in him.
[ he won't even mention what malevolence does to his kind... ]
something is making things worse. Something is taking that will of his and breaking it down. I don't know if it's this fog or something else entirely, but he's starting to completely lose his humanity.
[He hadn't really talked about the whole will thing, just that he was no longer human. This makes a lot more sense now... of course his will was strong enough to overcome it, he's Rokurou! He just... having a bad time now.]
I think the fog is making people weird... it's probably gotten to him. What would it to do to me if I'm around it too long? Would it do anything to me?
It might make you sick. And if you arent careful and you absorb any of it, you might begin thinking negatively as well which would only encourage the process along...
[As it is, the overwhelming desire to help him and keep her promise to him is likely felt on Eizen's end. She will save him, and she'll do it by sheer power of love, hope, and knowing if she does she'll be feeling a huge amount of joy over it too.]
I'll make sure he goes back to being himself. I promise.
