[It's a combination of so many things that Serah's words gets the reaction that it does out of Lightning. In the last month, even longer, she's hurt so many people in different ways, including the two people she loved most in this world, or any world. That's something that she'll never be able to forgive herself for, even if everyone else does. She never meant to hurt them...
So that little spark of hope that Serah offers her is almost overwhelming in a way. Deep down, Lightning always knew that whatever they all have here will come to an end one day, and that was why she couldn't find it in herself to forget what Serah had said, but her emotions are coming in and going in violent tides right now that all Lightning knows to do is to let them out somehow.]

[Tears begin to form in her eyes, and she presses her lips shut to try hiding them. She can't, nor can she allow her sister to see her like this again, so she tugs strolls up and tugs her into her arms.]

She could do anything, she was strong, and when she had a goal in mind, she always made it to the goal. Lightning had done so when she saved Pulse with Snow and the others in order to get her out of the crystal stasis she had gone into, and plenty of other times before that.
So when Lightning tugs her into a hug, she just hugs her sister as tight as she can.]

[Lightning sniffles but remains right where she is.]

[She's not trying to start another fight, and she tries to make it clear with a squeeze of her hands, but this is something that she needs her sister to know and be aware of. [She gets it. And no one will ever be able to really fill the Snow-shaped hole in her heart as well as Snow will. There's no question about that.]

[Hearing that Lightning is going to be talking and laughing again with her gets her to let out a sigh of relief, followed by a relieved smile. The question gets a chuckle and a nod.]

Daisy will probably yell at us for being gone for so long, you know that right? She may not even talk to us for a while. [Until they had something she wanted, that is.] We'll have to give her extra treats in apology.
[The smile she gives Serah is brief, flickering as she gives her sister's arm a squeeze. Her answer starts off slow, because honestly? She isn't sure how to break it to her, so she's just going to be honest right off the bat.]
I... think I might stay with Gladio a little longer.
[Her cheeks flush a bright pink and when she feels the tips of her ears heat up, she takes a step back.]

[In spite of all the things that have happened, she's been enjoying his company and being in it, especially after Gem's defeat. Somehow, the fight that they had only served to bring them closer once they reconciled, and for once, she'd like to be a little selfish and bask in it.]

[She had a feeling that, even with Lightning acting kind of off, Gladio wasn't the type to just throw away everything they had together and would understand. If he had surprised her, Serah would have gone to have a little... talk... with him, so she's glad that wasn't the case!]
[She chuckles under her breath, thankful that Serah is understanding. Of course she's going to visit as much as she's able to. The Eos house is full of smelly boys, including her own boy, and everyone needs a break from that sometimes.]
I don't have too much here, just clothes and Mog and my flowers. I should be all right getting everything back home. Though I'll probably need to clean up my room at home...

She hasn't been back to the house since she visited Noel under the influence of the fog, and so avoiding him for now is in her list of priorities... at least until she's ready to see him and apologize. She'll only return to her "other" home with Gladio when the two of them are satisfied with the cleanup, and it's not without the promise that she'll be seeing her sister again very soon.]
